Introducing…. Blackdown – Get Your Warface On
We love hearing new music and when we received the debut EP from Uk Metal band Blackdown, we couldn’t hit play fast enough.
Growing tired of simply hiding away in the shadows and regurgitating the
work of other artists in cover bands, 2011 saw the formation of Blackdown;
a Sussex based five piece with a craving for a stage of their own.
Describing themselves as ‘balls out, high octane, melodic metallers’,
their self titled EP is infused with sounds from decades past and still
remains unashamedly metal.
Taking the reigns as lead vocalist, Kate Maunsell shows the women of metal
how it’s really done. The duelling guitars of Dan Ranger and Flash Bolt,
forged with Roger Bugg on bass and drummer Jon Ewen complete the tight and
tasty sound of Blackdown.
Discover their neck numbing grooves for yourselves; at the click of a
button, a track from their recently released EP, ‘Blame Train’ can be
yours for free. All you have to do is hit like on Blackdown’s Facebook
page and it’s all yours. https://www.facebook.com/BlackdownBand
Not only that, the band have been busying themselves with gigs and have just revealed a video for ‘Warface’ which you can see right here.
