Introducing… Steel Box Theories
It’s a sad fact that music is now becoming easily disposable. All it takes is for a digital file to be sent to the recycle bin and it is gone forever, without a trace. In this ever evolving world, it is imperative that to be noticed you should create something original, something fresh. For Steel Box Theories, the classical, progressive and metal worlds collide to create something rather intense.
Discord, brutality and industrial sounds have been brought together by Luke Tetlow, Steel Box Theories’ composer and producer. Using multiple layers of rhythms and melodies, Tetlow is dedicated to creating completely original soundscapes to mesmerise his audiences.
Currently in the process of completing their debut album and gigging whenever they can, 2012 has been an interesting year for Steel Box Theories. As with all new bands, SBT are currently seeking management to help their journey deeper into the musical world. Once this has been obtained, the future looks like a busy one: ‘We are looking to use some kind of voluntary donation framework like Pledge music or Kickstart to help with the costs of funding this album’ says Tetlow.
A rehearsal video has been released to demonstrate just quite how different the live set up for Steel Box Theories is compared to other bands. With influences such as Nine Inch Nails, Pink Floyd, Bela Bartok and Il Nino, it’s fair to say that their live performance is just as unique as their sound.
