Malefice Sign To Transcend Records
Highly respected British Metal band MALEFICE have inked a deal with Transcend Music will see them jointly managed (by Razor Wire and Transcend) and released by the recently significantly strengthened company. The new deal will also include the first digital release of the debut album ‘Entities’ which was previously unavailable, this will come with an unreleased bonus track. Following on from that the band will be putting out their 5th studio release which is currently in production and according to Transcend boss Rob Ferguson, sounding very tasty.
Rob said ” I’ve always had a lot of time for MALEFICE, they have a great work ethic and that’s one of the key factors in any band for me. The new material is a further bold step in the evolution of the band and is very exciting indeed. This is a band that is not afraid to push the boundaries and at the same time push themselves, stand well back because this is gonna go off like a bomb!”
Malefice front-man Dale Butler also commented on the signing “We’re really stoked to be a part of the Transcend family. After the first meeting we realised we had found a company that matched our own ambitions, and shared our same love and absolute dedication to music in all it’s forms. Expect big things from Malefice and Transcend this year, we’re coming for you.” Malefice are currently touring the UK before heading back into he studio to complete their third album.
It’s been an exciting week for Transcend Records as they have undergone major restructuring and new signings. The new measures see Transcend absorbing the associated businesses of renowned management companies The Legacy Agency and RMR Management, strengthening their artist roster and offering a variety of unique acts.
The all new Transcend roster now includes classic acts such as Fields of the Nephilim and Viking Skull, alongside Metal stalwarts like Sacred Mother Tongue, Malefice and recently reformed Bossk, mixing it up with some of the hottest new acts on the scene in the shape of The Dirty Youth, Heights and Heart of a Coward.
